Turbo Scratcher=Playstation?

The comments from the last post say that the Turbo Scratcher has become a kind of "home" for the cats' toy...the hub of their play area.
Does anyone else see it that way?
What does the Turbo Scratcher need in order to become the true "hub" of the cats' play area?

It would be nice if replacement pieces of cardboard were available! We got our three cats a turbo scratcher as a christmas present in Dec 2007 and now less than one month later, they've already taken out all the cardboard!

Yes. I participated in a survey a week or so after we got the turbo scratcher for our two cats and reported they loved the ball but ignored the scratcher. Wrong! They soon discovered the cardboard and destroyed it, leaving bits and pieces everywhere. I think it would be wonderful if you came up with a slightly sturdier replacement...carpet? sandpaper? I'd test it with our two...

the turbo scratcher is the only 'scratching pad' my cat will use! I constantly have to get new replacement pads, but have found it more difficult to find the replacements lately. it seems the stores around here have decided to start stocking a different kind of scratching pad that is more expensive and a different shape. i haven't wasted my money on these becasue i know my cat won't use them.

I bought a Turbo Scratcher for my 2 Kittens today, as soon as I put it out for them they had to investigate it. They went to town with the ball right away, hitting it back and forth, untill the female (Sixx) decided it was hers. Now if she's playing with it, the male (Snuffy) just sits and watchs untill she's done and walks away. The funny part is, he's way bigger. They haven't discovered the scratcher part yet, but they will, Nosey litter Fur Balls.

Ended up here when I clicked on the question of what you could do to improve the information on the Star Chaser.

I don't get it. Looks like a Turbo Scratcher.

If it isn't, then why don't you describe in the context of the Turbo Scratcher.

My cats put their other toys in the track and hit them with the ball. There are usually a couple of other balls and half a dozen mice in there. I've gotten to where the size of the toy enters into my decision to buy them...will it fit in the track or not?

have had the turbo for years. this last replacement insert (yesterday, July 3, 2009) is slightly smaller. It was much to easy to get in under the tabs. It has been empty for a while and they've been playing with the ball. But when they discover the insert is back, one good scratch and I believe the insert is going to be yanked out. : ( I hope that I am wrong. you will hear back from me if I'm not. They do enjoy it and a little catnip sprinkle and they go to town. I wouldn't change a thing. Someone suggested sandpaper. : / nope, disagree. Thank you. Leslie in Georgia

I've had the wheels with a ball in them before with other cats and they lasted pretty well for a short while. These were the open circle kind. The cats soon lost interest.

THIS THING HOWEVER! Smart stuff with the cardboard in the center and the catnip AND the light-up ball!

I just adopted a new kitten with cerebral hypoplasia and he stays at my feet every moment I am home! A laser light has been the ONLY thing that would temporarily distract him!

I bought the Star Chaser Turbo Scratcher over the other wheels specifically because of the light-up ball!

The second I put it down, Dexter was ALL OVER the cardboard in it (instead of my chair and back)!

Once he found out that that ball lights up...there's been no end! He even LEFT ME for a few HOURS to go into the other room and play with it some more!

HIGHLY recommend it!

Thank you!

Just purchased the Star Chaser yesterday for our kitten and she loves it!!! Am happy to know that your web site lists replacement light up balls.
Gypsy figured out that after the ball sits and the light goes out a slight tap gets it all happening again. Just proves how smart cats really are!!
Thanks

When we adopted our cat in August, the woman with the rescue organization said that their cats really like the Turbo Scratcher. I was sceptical, but figured if our kitty was used to playing with one, I'd get one. I got the Star Chaser because I thought the light up ball looked like fun. Our cat loves loves loves this toy! She chases the ball, she claws the cardboard, she even pushed the whole thing down the hall one day. I was pleased to find that the replacement discs come in a two pack. I have been very pleased with this toy and so has the cat.

Our Blind Cat LOVES her Turbo Scratcher! She plays with it day and night. She was born blind so she really has no clue as to what seeing is.

My 8-month old Rascal loves his Turbo Scratcher! After I demonstrated how to make the ball move, he caught on quickly, and now I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night to the sound. He loves the scratcher, too, but his favorite thing is to send the ball speeding in its track and run away to crouch in the "ready-set-pounce" pose, returning to set the ball going again. He's had it since Nov 2009, and as of Feb 2010 - still in his top 3 fave toys.

My old cat LOVES this!! We are so happy we found it and grateful to the inventors. Excellent job!

My cats love the turbo scratcher, but my big beast of a male has figured out how to get the ball out- which is now nowhere to be found... It would be great if you sold replacements or made it harder to remove the ball. Or maybe if it could only come out through a closable hole in the back?

We got a turbo scratcher for our first two cats, Guido and George. They loved it! When they died, we saved their turbo scratcher, knowing we would get another cat. Soon, we adopted a stray we named Tutankhamun (Tut). Tut is partially blind but loves the turbo scratcher! Cats are like potato chips in that you can't have just one so into our lives walked two more strays, Cleopatra and Ceasar. Cleo hides in the cat cube and smacks the ball around or sits on the cardboard to scratch it up. Ceasar hangs from the top of the cube to smack the ball and pulls the cardboard out by clawing it so hard. Then we added Ramses. he's into everything but the turbo scratcher! For some reason he thinks it's a bed! How about a sisal insert replacement for the cardboard ones though? with three big cats, we go through a lot of cardboard!

Information that informs the public and makes them good citizens is the kind of quality information that one can be proud to call
news, and if it ever goes completely out of style, may the Lord help us, for it will be the end of civilization as we know

from the newspaper or watch it to get good information
they could subscribe for sports SMS alerts. I want to mention a part of the Prime Law (Twelve Visions Party) which is part of Neothink.
